Chipping
The most common fault we see amateurs make when chipping is a breakdown of the left wrist through.
This causes thin or fat shots because the club head is swinging up.
A proper impact position is where the left wrist is in a firm position (straight with the left arm) and the hands are slightly ahead of the ball.
Try this drill the next time you practice. Use an old shaft or club and place it as an extension of the club you use to chip.
Try to keep the added shaft / club away from the body as you swing through impact and follow through. This will help to maintain a firm left wrist at impact and beyond. The result will be crisp chip shots.
